Wouter Vandenbruwaene is a geologist and has a PhD in sciences. For 12 years he worked at Flanders Hydraulics Research (FHR). First as a researcher and project leader at the team Water and Sediments, following up projects focused on the hydro-geomorphology of estuaries and rivers. Later as a data analyst manager at the team Hydrological Information Centre (HIC), where he was responsible for quality and analysis of the HIC measuring data. Before he worked as a researcher and guest lecturer at the University of Antwerp (Biology Department, Research Group ECOBE), and as a researcher at the Ghent University (scientific employee, Geology Department). Recently Wouter started at VITO as an R&D professional water at the Water Climate Hub.
