Get A Met aims to implement an integrated proof-of-concept for the selective recovery of critical raw materials (CRM), and more specifically metals and metalloids contained in industrial wastewaters, combining the features of economic, modular, high capacity, robust and reusable.

The core of Get A Met is a groundbreaking electrochemical process, namely capacitive electroprecipitation. This process will be combined with advanced speciation knowledge, pre-treatment with membrane electrolysis to tune the streams into the right specifications, and innovative carbon ion-imprinted materials to add on selectivity.

Altogether, Get A Met intends to develop an effective technological solution to enable the recovery of dilute critical raw materials from industrial wastewaters, which overcomes the limitations of traditional and best-available technologies.
