CAPTURE researchers have become member of a few prestigious initiatives aiming at the further development of Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU).


Energy-X is a Horizon 2020 project (coordination and support action) aiming at the prepartion of a large-scale research initiative (formerly called FET-flagship), coordinating a budget of more than 500 million euros. The aim is to develop breakthrough catalytic technologies for storage of renewable energy and combine these with CCU.

CO2 value Europe

CO2 Value Europe is a cross-sectorial stakeholder platform on creating value from CO2. The network consists of a wide variety of industrial players (Solvay, Carmeuse, Indaver, Heidelberg, DEME...), research institutes (VITO, Fraunhofer,...), and universities (Ghent Universities, UC London,...) and has the ambition to bring these parties together and generate a common vision and roadmap on CCU supported by demonstration and innovation projects.
